A Soul Sacrifice Sequel For Vita? ‘Talks Are Ongoing’

In a conversation with IGN, Soul Sacrifice creator Keiji Inafune confirmed that not only does he want to do a sequel to his PS Vita-exclusive game Soul Sacrifice, but that he’s actively talking to Sony about making it happen. (PS Vita, Sony, Soul Sacrifice)

A Soul Sacrifice sequel on Vita is great but I hope Soul Sacrifice also gets a new installment on PS4

No! SS has to stay exclusive for the PS Vita, because that is the type of games that makes gamers want the PS Vita.

DO IT! The first isnt even out but the demo makes me crave a second one.

My Vita time is split between Jet set radio HD(thx PS+) and this demo, its addictive only a few more days till the full game.

Why don't you get Thomas Was Alone? It's free on PS+ right now and it's pretty fun.

History is filled with mythical lore that is heavily present in Soul Sacrifice so another game that dives into these lore is always welcomed.

Keiji Inafune no matter what some may think about him, the guy has a proven track record to make great games.

Seeing that this is an SCEJ game, they must not allow to let this ip go to a 3rd party dev, just like what happened to demon's souls (although Sony hold the name of the ip, it's successor went on as a 3rd party game)
sherimae2413  +   454d ago
but sony can continue the ip with a different developer, right?

Nice idea but there is no guarantee the game will do well. Even selling well on Vita does is not a direct correlation to making "enough" money to justify producing a sequel.

Interesting concept but I think the "spell" system will turn some people off... no simple sword and board, etc. But, to each it's own and hope it does well.

lol, it already sold at almost or already at 200k in japan alone,
it is enough for sony to greenlight the sequel considering its a new ip and the first in the hunting action genre ^_^

besides inafune is already talking with sony now ^_^ and he wants to drive more vita sales.

Jeez let us play it first

Great news.. Nintendo can keep monster hunter.. If this game gets a bigger budget & dev team, itl be HUGE! Not that this one sucks or anything but look at how much better God of war 2 is to 1.. Or uncharted 2 compared to part 1.

This game is gonna sell well. I know several people buying vita's at the moment just in order to play this game. It's a system seller.

I played an hour of the demo and the narrative and battle system had me sold. I love the mature tone and how the journal is used. Not to mention, it has an in depth beastiary, I was sold there! Seriously though, I am buying it day one as long as its digitally released. I have the sony wallet funds ready. To see talks of a sequel is excellent. This is a fantastic IP for Sony, as long as they market it the right way, it could be huge. Maybe a console game will come for ps4.

I found myself reading through the journal to learn more about how monster souls worked and the lore of the world. Loved it.
