As the Play.com Live event comes to a close, PSU reporter Rob Zwetsloot puts on his smoking jacket and reminisces about his time at Wembley Stadium in front of a roaring log fire.
Anyone else reading this go to this "event"??? Terrible terrible terrible. I bought my (supposed VIP) ticket on the day the event was announced. I was promised looks at Condemned 2, Force Unleashed and Resident Evil 5 among others. There were none of these games there at all. This is in stark contrast to children.... I was sold this ticket to an event that was (i thought as it said on all the marketing I'd seen) strictly over 17s and there were more children there than anyone else. 95% of the games featured I already owned (or didn't want to own) and there were so few consoles around that in my hour walking around I saw only 1 that wasn't being played (but I didn't fancy playing Street Fighter 2, so I passed it by!!!). Only 1 positive to this was that now maybe people will realise that there is a market for this kind of thing in the UK (I just hope if/when the next one happens it'll be far far better organised than this was!!!)
