The Daily Five: Trailers That Guaranteed Sales

the halo 3 trailer...
was a given. We all knew it was going to be a big seller regardless of the trailer. Reason being, it was the 3rd game in the series and the 1st on the 360 so anyone who played the first two were going to get the third no matter what (generally speaking).

When it comes to halo trailers, I still think Halo 2 reveal at e3 was something to behold. The whole scene of Chief walking through the ship to the loading bay and ultimately out the airlock...that was epic. What really made that trailer so good was not just the chatter over the com but the orchestral score in the background. Especially when he is looking out the hangar window at the chaos down below.

Not discrediting halo 3 but like i said above, that was already a guaranteed seller regardless of the trailer.

Far Cry 3 and Skyrim trailers also did a good job on it.
