In game xmb months away

Dead Rising II On PS3 would be epic.

GETPWNT5883d ago

LOL. Capcom all of a sudden catering to the PSturd casuals? Not likely. They want their games to sell.

eagle215883d ago

How can you guys not understand this?

cellypower5883d ago

Your 100% right eagle bubs for u.

Sayai jin5883d ago

Hmmm, you may be right, but this feature should have been available at launch, hence they would not need a patch for everygame. There are reasons why it is taking this long, but it still frustrates a lot of PS3 owners.

Marceles5883d ago

I don't think in-game xmb would require a patch for each game...a firmware update yes, but not a patch for each individual game that has comes out. It's all about stablizing the PS3 so it can run the game while opening other things on the xmb. Sony doesn't want the games crashing while everyone is trying to play their own music, looking on the internet, and audio chatting with their friends at the same time.

UrbanJabroni5883d ago

There is absolutely, positively not a patch required for each game. Apparently, you haven't the foggiest idea how an operating system layer works.

Beyond that basic absurd misconception, do you somehow think Sony gets the _code_ for all the games we submit? Of course not...apparently in your world, Sony is making all publishers re-submit binaries for their games just so they can have an XMB in-game.

Keep your damn mouth shut unless you have at least some idea what you are talking about.

Ri0tSquad5883d ago (Edited 5883d ago )

When Sony gave back ram to developers, 0 games had to be patched.

Besides that the in-game XMB feature is going to be used by using the reserved ram that developers CANNOT touch.

bourner5883d ago

oh yer i cry . i never thought of that

InMyOpinion5882d ago

The real truth is that Sony has lazy developers.

wicked5882d ago

That's why it should have been available on day one. The longer the delay the worse it will get.

MWAH-HA-HA-HA!!!

M0KILLaU5883d ago

LOL Kas, you sir are a word smith. "Bitter taste of sloppy seconds", now that put a image in my head.

-EvoAnubis-5883d ago

Am I the only one that seems to recall Sony said in an earlier statement that such features won't be around until summer time? Why's everyone holding their breath?

EastCoastSB5883d ago

So this article is nothing new, even that other info has been posted before too.

M0KILLaU5883d ago (Edited 5883d ago )

Show me a link were there has been a post on N4G about Dead rising II Being a PS3 exclusive.

Ok my bad, I found a post on a rumor a long time ago about DR2 being exclusive. Does this mean i have to cut my finger off or something.

M0KILLaU5883d ago

Yeh I got it "I'm dumb, your smart"! Here I'll slap myself.
What do you want from me?
I'm fn sorry, ok If I could delete the post I would.

paul_war5883d ago

Well you asked for a link...

DRUDOG5883d ago

The thing that kind of cracks me up about this story is that we are pretty certain (with good reason) that in-game XMB and Home will be "launching" at the same time. If this is true than we can also assume that we wouldn't be seeing in-game XMB until after the open beta for Home is completed. The open beta will start soon (assumed with more of that "good reason") and that will take a few MONTHS before it's completed and Home is actually released. I'm putting my money on June/July...

No real news here guys. I even assumed they were referring to Dead Rising 2 (which I'm quietly stoked about BTW).

M0KILLaU5883d ago

I'm just messin around, but seriously every single person doesn't need to report this as a duplicate, I think the mods get it.

Superiorrior5883d ago

This is tangible, I'm not gonna deny Sony is taking there sweet ass time, and the version rumored housing in-game XMB is the elusive 2.4 which is due summer, so months is accurate.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis12h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv721d 7h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
