Awesome game and much better than the first!
Techland did a great job and made a great zombie killing RPG.
Great score for great game !
not a 10 but not 4 either XD
Definitely not a 10, it maybe fun but i doubt this game has a story as good as many other games on the market and story should definitely be a big part of the score.
You've not played the game. ''Definitely not a 10''. What.
No from what i hear from other reviews, i've heard the game is mostly protect this or get that, i have not heard anything remarkable about the story at all, i'm not saying it's a bad game but i don't think it would be a 10 also i played Dead Island and apparently it's almost the same thing.
Ehh, I don't think it's quite a ten out of ten. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a fun game; I enjoyed the first... But it's no secret that the game has tons of flaws/glitches. It is definitely not perfect, and as such, does not deserve a perfect score. From what I've seen of it, I'd give it a 7/10, maybe an 8/10... Maybe.
I agree it's likely a rather high score to give it... but I'd take it as something a bit more credible than a review based on "what I've seen of it" :)
Sorry for the extremely late reply, but now that I have finally played it, I can safely say that it's worth about a 7/10.
Also gonna have to disagree with the 10, maybe an 8 or so.
Some glitches can be entertaining. No game is perfect these days.
I found a ton of fun glitches in skyrim, guess no one else did.
Another one of those "this game is so crap its brilliant" reviews I assume.
Is this a joke? It's a 7.5 at best.
Well deserved for this classic zombie thrashing gem!
So far we've seen 3/10, 10/10 and everything in between, no wonder most gamers have lost faith in gaming journalism. All I want to know is, is it good, bad or ok because the reviews indicate all of the above.
If you have a friend to play with it's a blast.
Well, every gaming journalist is an individual and every journalist experiences every aspect of a game in a different way, that's why so many gaming magazines can exist in first place. It's best to look out for reviewers that usually agree with your opinion so you have someone you can trust on when it comes to scoring new releases. From what I've seen the game is pretty much a optimized version of its predecessor. If you have friends to play Riptide with you're going to have a shitload of fun. What I dont unserstand in the above review is the constant lack of cons. The only negative thing you list is that New Game Plus restarts the story - isn't that the sense of the mode?
I appreciate there will be differing opinions, but the difference between 3/10 (Basically a steaming pile) and 10/10 (the pinnacle of gaming goodness) is monumental and makes no sense whatsoever. Reviews are meaningless to me and have been for the duration of this console generation, but I am concerned for those who are influenced by them.
You either hate it or love it. I'm leaning towards the side of hate. From my experiences with the first one and people saying that this game is no different.
I fail to see how this game is that much different from Skyrim or any other Bugthesda game O.o So Skyrim didn't have any fetch quests, escort quests, kill X number of things quests? No game ending bugs? A basically non-existent story? We celebrate the bugs in Skyrim and give it game of the year, but any other dev gets hammered for making the same mistakes...
Well said. Journalist love to mention the bugs in this game, but never in games such as Skyrim
I have almost 50 hours into this game and have yet to find a bug on the PS3.
