God Of War Ascension Review - The Gamers Hub

As the old saying goes, ‘hell hath no fury like a Kratos scorned’. Admittedly I may be paraphrasing here, but I’m sure you get the point and, in God Of War: Ascension, Kratos brings more fury than the Incredible Hulk after he’s had his Shiny Charizard nicked – which, incase you aren’t aware, is a really big deal. (God of War: Ascension, PS3) 4/5

Easily my least favorite G.O.W. game. Feels more like an add on rather than an entire game. So disappointed didn't even finish it. The series should have ended at 3, cause thats where it ended for me.

It's my least favorite as well but it doesn't feel like an add on. The campaign is actually my favorite part, it feels different and more gritty and more focused kind of like a throw back to the first one. The overrun and survival sections are really done well, you can tell they spent most of their time with those sections.
The place the game falls apart is the MP. The weapons are unbalanced, I hate the sticky grenade and that they took away grenade tagging, they took away downs and active reload bonuses and the net code seems flakey and not as sturdy or balanced as the others.
If it was a regular game it would be good but I have come to expect only the best from Gears..... And since part 3 was perfect this one would have been better if they would have just copied Gears 3.

There was no need for this game.It was a cash grab.
