"There is no Multiplayer of any kind, no co-op either, its purely singleplayer" Is it that hard Capcom/EA....is it that hard FINALLY A true survival horror game which is purely single player I think this is going to be like Resident Evil 4 but with added horror elements.
I'd love for it to be a Scarier RE4. But it seems this game has a different approach. For example. there won't be powerful weapons like Machine Guns. And there will be a stealth elements. Seems like this game is more about being vulnerable, but still has a dose of action to keep the gameplay entertaining.
It's looking more in line with Silent Hill than anything else. Those were games that made you feel vulnerable and freaked out. Resident Evil was the same at one point in time. RE4 was pretty damn scary, and had great atmosphere. not terrifying, but still scary.
I have a good feeling Mikami is going to create something truly terrifying with this.
I really want to see some gameplay. I'm VERY happy that Shinji Mikami is going back to his roots and bringing back Survival Horror (along with Naughty Dog in The Last of Us).
oh PLEASE let this breathe life back into the genre! i am too much of a pussy to even finish good survival horror games but i still buy them and have tons of fun with them, but i haven't had a good one since amnesia.
RE4 was not exactly survivor horror the gameplay was nice but I never remember on RE4 to struggle for survival the ammo was plentiful & most weapons was lethal even the very first handgun & also melee battle, I really hope that Evil Within is nothing like RE4 also I hope that this game will have a lot & challenging puzzles & I want to see a lot of indoors exploration like RE1/SH1 those 2 r my favorite survival horror games & the best this genre have to offer imo so those games is the one Mikami must use as an example & not RE4 for sure.
