3DS sales jump by 49% in UK

Fire Emblem Awakening boosts sales in the last week

What a week it was for 3DS last week. Not only did Nintendo Direct bring us loads of exciting 3DS news but, thanks in part to the success of Fire Emblem: Awakening, sales of Nintendo's handheld jumped by 49% in the last week.

Fire Emblem: Awakening went into the UK chart at number three and it is joined by Luigi's Mansion 2 in the top 10. And with Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate and Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate launching last month, this is a good time to be a 3DS owner.

Fire Emblem: Awakening launched in a special bundle with a blue 3DS XL which accounted for 31% of all 3DS XL sales last week. (3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Nintendo)
