"A gaming platform is only as good as its video games"

Very true and this is exactly where the PC excels head and shoulders above any other platform.

This is more true specially with the arrival of the new consoles. Since new consoles will start with a library of 0 games(due to no BC) and will need to build one.

PC on the other hand has a library of literally thousands of games. PC can play almost any game released in the last 30 odd years. Hell not only PC games, but it can also play console games too(any console in history asides Xbox 360 and PS3).

Not only does PC have a huge advantage on a game count. It also has a advantage in genres:

Moba, MMO, RTS, Simulation are all pretty much PC exclusive.

Personally i cant wait for Total war Rome 2 to release later this year.

Even popular Shooters like Battlefield are best played on PC. The only area where consoles do excel are the 8 hour long Sony SP campaigns, which PS fans do tend to boast but its quite obvious even they themselves dont play those games more than a couple of times. PC exclusives on the other hand tend to last a very long time.

In terms of any genre except MMOs and Dungeon Crawlers, PS3 is far ahead of PC.
God Of War
Gran Turismo
Sly Cooper
Ratchet And Clank
LittleBig Planet

I don't see your point.

First just because a game is exclusive doesnt mean its the best game out there in its genre unless you are a fanboy of course.

I would personally play BF3 on a PC over KZ anyday, shooter is the most popular genre out there i think PC has the best game on it with BF3. So PS3 having KZ as exclusive becomes rather meaningless as PC version of BF3 is far better. Same examples can be drawn for the other games on your list.

Second none of those games you mentioned are present on the next consoles.

You may hype them when their sequels are released over the years, as of launch they dont exist.

Even then those few exclusives pale in comparison the thousands of games available on PC. How many games do you think the PS4 will launch with 5-10 maybe? its really no comparison to what is available on PC. It would take the PS4 years to build a library even then it never will have the library PC does.

I still plan on purchasing next-gen consoles, but I am beginning to see the benefits of pc gaming, so I'll likely pick up a lenovo y400 or y500 next year.

article says PS3 & XBOX 360 versions of BF3 support only 32 players, that's not right, they only support 24, and because of the much smaller player count the Conquest maps are much smaller, consoles gets 3 capture points when on PC it has 5,6,7.
