Thoughts on Resident Evil: Revelations

Resident Evil Revelations is being released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U next month. Is the game worth buying? (3DS, Culture, PC, PS3, Resident Evil Revelations, Wii U, Xbox 360)

what I've played of the 3ds game was very good and slower paced then re5 or 6. hoping the added extras really push this game. and amazon offering it for 39 is a plus too.

I agree with you, in my opinion it's better than RE5 or 6. However, it's worst than every other numbered games in the series. It's a step in the right direction for the series, but it could have been better.

shame when they have it on eShop for 20.

50 dollars is kinda pushing it to be honest.

Capcom is one poor choice after the next.

If you already bought the 3DS ver, than $50 is too much. But if not, than i think it's worth it because Revelation the best RE in this generation. It had some flaw but i really enjoy Revelation more than RE 5 / 6.

this isn't a ps2 game u know, the game came out on 3ds just last year, plus, the console version looks very close to RE5/6 visually

it's still a port regardless of where it was originally made. Companies often charge 40 dollars for this kind of games. I think people need to understand that Capcom hasn't been performing well. It's not a matter of fighting for a price drop anymore, but more about trust. You can't change the fact that people have been disappointed with their games and I think it's important that Capcom understands the meaning of "fairness." The minute you have people wait on a price drop, you know you are bound to loose profit.

Capcom should have ported this game to the Vita as well. Yeah I know the Vita's install base isn't as big as that of the 3DS, but only more quality titles can change that around.
I can't wait to play Tearaway, Killzone Mercenary and Jak and Daxter collection on my Vita :)

again they wanted to make to HD TV and Console.

Vita does suit that.

this guy has no idea what he's taking about.
this game is in no way "filler". it's a one-off reboot of the original survival horror style RE games.
it's not "a new direction" for the series.
they already tried the game and it didn't sell well, then after that they've released Operation Raccoon City and RE:6, which were also not taken well, so we suspect they're leaving the series on hiatus for now.
Or doing another RE6 action-y game that no one wants.
