4 Games Releasing This Year That Aren't Getting Enough Hype

As if to make up for last year’s sub par releases, 2013 has already seen some great games and there are possibly more to come. However, in the wake of all this developing hype, some games have lost there well deserved recognition. Although having all these games is a good thing, we shouldn't lose sight of some of the less publicized ones. The following list consists of only some of those games, but they do deserve to be recognized. (Culture, Europa Universalis IV, Fuse, Metro: Last Light, PC, PS3, Remember Me, Xbox 360)

Kalowest  +   616d ago
I like insom also, but I still don't know it I like FUSE or not.
stuntman_mike  +   616d ago
@kalowest

here's a developer walkthrough:

Personally i think it looks like a lot of fun. it also reminds of a game called Project Eden that i played years ago on PS2.

I liked Overstrike. I don't like Fuse. It looked so awesome before they made the tone of the game serious. I'm not a fan of that.
SilentNegotiator  +   616d ago
I don't think we've seen enough from ANY of those 4 games to warrant much hype.

j-blaze  +   616d ago

calibann  +   616d ago

RuleofOne343  +   616d ago
Buying Fuse & Remember Me, but will rent Metro .
Kalowest  +   616d ago
Metro should by a buy! Metro 2033 was awesome and Metro 2034 looks better; I would say rent Fuse.
Ragthorn  +   616d ago
@witwicky343
Rent Metro: Last Light, Your joking right? I'll rephrase your sentence.
"Buying Metro: Last Light & Remember Me,but will rent Metro."
In my opinion once Overstrike turned to Fuse, then was not interested in it at all with all the seriousness.

Trying to show insomniac some love since their on my preferred platform plus this is an IP that belongs to them weather it sells a ton or doesn't. That was their reason for walking away from that other platform not saying they may not work for them on certain projects but they want to own some the IP they create.

People here who have not had any bungie will show them love for the first time. besides if I like Metro I can always keep it .

"Remember me" sounds interesting. The other 3, I don't know so much.
Lucreto  +   616d ago
Not getting any of them. Too much of a backlog.

This will be the first Insomniac game I won't be getting.
Ilovetheps4  +   616d ago
I will probably be getting Remember Me. I have every Ratchet and Clank and every Resistance game (made by Insomniac), and Fuse will be the first game of theirs I don't get. The game just doesn't look that great to me. I think EA got a little too involved with the game.
CRASHBASHUK  +   616d ago
tbh wanted Resistance 4 more then fuse
SonyStyled  +   616d ago
i couldnt agree more with ya
CanadianTurtle  +   616d ago
+1 to that.

I'm probably the biggest Resistance fan on this website. I have to say that the Resistance franchise has some of the most interesting lore, universe, enemies, and atmosphere. It's amazing to see real life locations being invaded by a hostile and deadly alien force. The Resistance series really captured that true feeling of an "alien invasion."

Resistance 3 was the MOST underrated game of 2011. It was an excellent game that differentiated itself from the normal military FPS shooters.

Sometimes I feel like Resistance should have been multiplatform. It would've gained more sales and the series wouldn't have to be put to rest. It's a great franchise and deserves to be played by both Xbox and PS3 gamers

im not sure who makes resistance, but its not un heard of that epic games eventauly come over..aka mass effect, personaly id love to try resistance i was the dogs bollock on the ps2 killzone, id love to be able to play that too lol.
andjudunno  +   616d ago
I been patienly waiting for Remember me, the fighting looks great, and the setting is just beautiful
CanadianTurtle  +   616d ago
It's sad that such a talented developer is developing a generic looking game like fuse. But hey, this could be a good thing! The game will probably bomb. Insomniac will blame EA. They'll go back to Sony and make Resistance 4 for the PS4. Sounds like a happy ending to me.

Or at least thats what I want personally since I'm a huge Resistance fan

Definitely getting Europa Universalis IV. Been waiting for this for a long time...Also Remember Me looks nice, but will wait more to know how it will be.
fsfsxii  +   616d ago
Getting Metro only, Not interested in anything EA or Cracpom has to offer
Dirtnapstor  +   616d ago
Definitely picking up FUSE. It needs more hype though or it'll become one of those sleeping gems of 2013. If the bland/shallow Halo series can be a success, then Fuse could have an edge if it was invested in as others have been. All the developer commentaries and whatnot are interesting, but that type of audience is limited.
Bioshock Infinite is a good example of marketing that paid off in terms of numbers...and the game isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I think FUSE will be engaging. Insomniac has the goods. Maybe their saving the Overstrike medium for a series on the PS4? That would most definitely differentiate their future games!?
Zeusprototype  +   616d ago
halo is bland and shallow? pull your head from your jacksie lol
Dirtnapstor  +   616d ago
Yes, anymore bland and shallow...Don't get me wrong, the first two installments were great, but the third felt like a rehash of the first. Halo 4 is gorgeous but really, the game play was no different than 1,3, & ODST...the structure locations, enemy clusters, the pulling of three single levers that would change the stability of an entire infrastructure? Rehashed and rehashed over and over. However, I do feel REACH had a good formula. Despite it's similarities, it felt different while playing it.

Metro and Remember Me is definitely something I'm keeping my eye on, Fuse isn't on my radar at this point.
BitbyDeath  +   616d ago
Until Dawn should be on the list.
brew  +   616d ago
Puppeteer
Kenshin_BATT0USAI  +   615d ago
I'm buying zero of these. I may get Remember Me when it's in the bargain bin if it gets good reviews, but yeah none of those games really interest me.
