"Nintendo will showcase a ton of Wii U games at E3. Here are the top 10 we're looking forward to the most."- Wii U Daily
New Zelda and an actual console pokemon rpg are all I want.
We'll have two Zelda Wii U games at this E3 :)
New SSB, Yoshi, Mario and Metroid yes please! I just realized Pikmin 3 isn't even out yet. Seemed like a launch game from the E3 presentation. Don't like how they got rid of Wind Waker's cartoon cel-shaded look. Also, how is Wii Fit U on the top 10? Talk about reaching.
Is the nextgen Zelda confirmed for E3? Thought WWHD was to hold us over a while. Also agree I miss the toonshading but I still like its stills. Need to see some solid game play.
Nice to see the Wii U getting some love. Personally, I'd think I'd prefer the PS4, but SSM, Metroid, and Zelda, are enticing.
Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and Pikmin might make me reconsider having traded my Wii U in and I'll get a Wii U again. My childhood is filled with many Mario Kart and Smash Bros moments!!! Wouldn't mind reliving that alongside the Halo and Killzone I'll be rocking on Xbox and PS4
... and maybe a gorgeous 3D Donkey Kong platformer. Kinda like Mario Galaxy, but like, WITHOUT a Galaxy, and WITHOUT Mario, and set in a gorgeous big open world environment (jungle, beaches, islands, dead woods, caves, underwater world, etc etc etc), and just giving us a whole lot of FUN stuff to do, like obviously platforming, perhaps slinging in some beat-m-up elements (think God of War, Darksiders, Ratchet and Clank, etc etc), puzzles, collecting stuff, doing photo-missions, and all other kinds of mini-games and sub-quests, obviously along with the big major main story quest which takes you through this big magical world. Unlockable characters and costumes and cameos also included ofcourse. "My name is Yi-Long, and I approve of this message!" :P
Sort of like a Donkey Kong 64 sequel?
I want to see some new IP's, as well as old. But mainly NEW one's. Oh, and a new Star Fox would be cool (if talking about existing IP's returning).
New IP from Nintendo? The last time Nintendo revealed a new IP created by their internal dev team and game designers was over 10 years ago with Pikmin on the GameCube.
Made by Level 5:)
so no new franchises? just more zelda and mario is good? Think I rather play the witcher 3, cyberpunk rpg over pokemon rpg and bethesda's new horror game. WiiU needs more adult theme games. gta lego is not cutting it I want gta 5,bf4 and dark souls 2. I guess wiiU is only for long time fans.
A new 3D Mario will be spectacular. Heck, start the show with it! I still remember seeing Galaxy for the first time. Loved both 1 and 2! Super Mario 64 and Sunshine are classics. It's just exciting!
I think Nintendo is really going to blow us away with this next 3D Mario. Remember how amazing the Galaxy games looked? And those weren't even in HD. Plus imagine how it might take advantage of the gamepad. If it releases this year it'll be a GOTY contender for sure.
Really excited to see Bayonetta 2 and the new Zelda.
Awesome list. I kinda want a new Klonoa.
I hope they make Dillon's Rolling Western for the Wii U.
A new HD Zelda is the reason I bought a Wii U, but cant wait to see some HD Mario Kart and Smash Bro's, and hopefully a Metroid game that has a good online portion.
I hope they allow us to reverse the X axis camera controls in the Wind Waker HD remake. They always threw me off being backwards from every other game. (Left to go right, right to go left, etc)
Gimme some F Zero Nintendo and a new Punch Out and Mario Kart
My list 1. Bayonetta 2 2. Maybe Zelda if its like Orcania of time. I never liked Wind Waker. And that's about it because im not really interested in Nintendo franchises. P.S I would mention games like Watch Dogs but im only interested in the superior version of any multiplatform title (in terms of console) so the Wii U is pretty much out for all of them.
New Zelda as well as both 2D and 3D Donkey Kong platformers.
Mario Galaxy HD collection. I would re-buy them both to see them in GLORIOUS HD!!! Come on Nintendo this is a NO BRAINER!! Wii Sports Resort U!! The controller screams Metroid. A new game which would use the controller as a scanner ala Prime. Heck how about a Metroid Prime HD Collection?? I would buy that too! As someone above noted, I am NOT liking the Wind Waker graphics changes. The original was great. All they needed was to turn on anti aliasing and introduce HD textures. It would have been perfect. The new graphics just do NOT fit the game at all.
I think Mario Galaxy HD edition with great GamePad controls would sell like hot cakes.
I would like to see a new IP golf game or a Mario golf using the Wii Fit board and the controller in conjunction like on that tech demo. The boards measures your weight and the way you shift in conjunction with tracking your swing.
I don't think a new Mario or Zelda game would help boost Wii U sales, but a Pokemon MMORPG definitely would. It could be similar to Skylanders and utilize the Wii U gamepad's NFC capabilities. People would eat that up! There is so much potential for Wii U to capatilize on the popularity of RPGs and MMOs. Nintendo would be a fool to pass this opportunity up. I imagine that if they did announce a Pokemon console MMORPG at E3, it would be the highlight of the show and would be a great response to the PS4 and Xbox720.
Zelda all day baby
I think I am buying a Wii U along with a PS4 in one purchase...
It's always the same old thing with Nintendo.
Same franchises yes, but they all play differently. Compare Super Mario 64 to Super Mario Galaxy, for example. Two games - apart of the same MARIO franchise, yet they're totally different, Zelda Wind Waker to Skyward Sword, for example. Same franchise - ZELDA - but two different games. It's not like Sony doesn't reuse it's IPs. inFamous, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, just to name a few. What about the plethora of CoDs that are barely different from each other, but yet sell millions? What about all the Madden, FIFA and NBA games? Don't see anyone calling out those franchises.
I am not opposed to Nintendo keeping their old franchises alive, I just wish they'd put more effort into developing new stuff. If even one of the games in this list was a new IP, it would give me much more faith in the Wii U.
