So there's a tree, and a monster... clearly, time travel is the only possible explanation.

...

Honestly, with all the similar areas/monsters/layout/etc., it seems more likely to be a remake of some sorts, opposed to a sequel/prequel.

But Nintendo has said that it is a sequel and not a remake of the game. I think the reasoning in the video as to why it is time travel is pretty well thought out, but it might be too well thought out. They might just be overthinking things, but I hope they aren't. I like time travel.

its a sequel in the same world, it would be weird if some areas are not the same dont you think? On the other hand, saying that just because 2 screens of the map are the same, then nothing is going to change is a bit ridicuouls if you ask me
