Activision Promises a Call of Duty Experience Beyond the TV or PC, Unique to Mobile

Activision wants to create a Call of Duty experience unique to the mobile platform, one that will “evolve” the way customers interact with the brand.

With mobile sales only going “okay” for the company, according to Activision Blizzard’s Jon Estanislao who recently spoke at DMW Games in Los Angeles, Activision is looking into ways they might increase their presence in the mobile market, specifically with the Call of Duty franchise. (Activision, Call of Duty Series, iPad, iPhone, Mobile, PS Vita)

You mean like Declassified on the Vita... Lol, what crud that was. (No offense to those who liked it, but the price and the content of the single player was just laughably inexcusable.)

Did you play it or are you basing your opinion on internet hate?

I just gave my reasons. The price and the single player. It cost ten dollars more than other Vita games for a campaign that was absolutely pathetic. No, I did not play the game, but I saw enough to know I didn't want to play it, especially not for 50 dollars.

From all the hate I've seen on the net from people about this game, I thought the same thing..... Until I played it for myself.
And as a handheld game it was pretty good. Probably one of the best shooter for a handheld.

I'm not stupid enough to buy a game like Declassified with that price. Yes, I said stupid because anyone who did buy it supported lazy developers which means he encouraged them to make another stupid game. And people say vita don't sell well -.- . No big games like GTA/GT5/Tekken/Real COD game/BF..etc means vita will fail in sales and gaming. I love my vita but this is the truth

Just touch anywhere on the screen and you will get the kill.

I have tried a couple of different first person shooters on my iPod and iPad, and they all left me wanting.

Without dual sticks, a fps just doesn't feel right on a mobile device.

How about an actual Black Ops game on the PS Vita with a 6-8 hour campaign with a fully fledged Multiplayer and some of that zombies? Like we really need the zombies. No more crap 45 minutes SinglePlayer and incredible knifing distance.

I don't think PSV will ever get more than 4v4 MP because 4 people is the most psv party chat supports afaik.
imXify  +   650d ago
Wii had 5v5 with chat enabled and could do anything smoothly like on the HD consoles except for killstreaks like AC130 or Chopper Gunner because the console couldn't render the whole map from the air.

YES PLEASE ! Do want.

Call of Duty on Android or iOS should be built on a ARM based Octa Core CPU for Tablets. That would be impressive.

I saw a demo of NFS running on a Samsung Octa Core in real time. It was so awesome
