Guacamelee Review | Saving Content

Excerpt: "Grab your tights for a stylized romp through Mexican-inspired folklore full of danger, exploration, and well-timed humor.

The action gets underway quickly when Juan, who narrowly escapes death. He is taken to the Underworld, and escapes, becoming a super-powered Luchador that is the savior of a small town in Mexico. Comparisons can be made to the hybrid genre, “Metroidvania” as this game very much is. You’ll traverse an open-world, wall jump, transform, collect new powers, and even go between planes of the living and dead." (Guacamelee, PS Vita, PS3) 5/5

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack was a 10/10 for me and Guacamelee! is a lot better. It's my new favorite PSN game of all time. Next I'm going to play Drinkbox's first game, About a Blob. Guacamelee is a must play for everyone with a PS3 or Vita.

I own the game and I love it. The combat system is deeper than it looks. I can't wait for their next game!
