The big news was that a new Zelda game was announced for the 3DS and Earthbound will be making its way to the Wii U virtual console. Are Nintendo overselling us on old concepts to compensate for the lack of new third-party support? We discuss this in a very controversial segment of the show, which may possibly leave a few Nintendo fans mad.

Also we discussed the recent controversy over the rumors that the Next Xbox would be an online only (DRM) platform. Are these rumors true? Or are the current rumors circulating about Windows 8 running on the Nextbox more accurate?

I don't think so, those Nintendo franchises have a special level of quality in them that keeps us interested in buying and enjoying them with each iteration.

That's like asking if Disney is overusing Mickey Mouse. It isn't about that; those franchises have an essence of timelessness about them. Any generation of gamer can enjoy them.

Good podcast, Gary eased up on his rant towards the end though. My only question to Nintendo is where are the Wii U games?
