Eiji Aonuma visited Miiverse today and left a couple of messages for fans following the Zelda news announced during today’s Nintendo Direct.
Wow. That's hot. Majora's Mask for Wii U please I'm not above grovelling.
This looks awesome. New School meets Old School = so much enjoyment
As someone who grew up with 3D Zeldas, I'm cautious about this one. Don't get me wrong, I've gone back and played the older titles (and the DS titles) and enjoyed them... just not as much as Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, or Skyward Sword. Cautious, but still optimistic. Nintendo is a developer that very seldom produces anything that's not of the very highest quality. ... Mostly, I'm bothered by the art style. ALttP used an "incorrect" perspective; I would have much preferred this new game use a more proper overhead perspective (i.e. isometric) but I suppose it's necessary to see all of the walls at all times if this wall-travel thing is an integral mechanic. Speaking of which, as a "power" it seems quite lame from a story perspective (here's hoping they can come up with some cool explanation for the magic), but gameplay-wise is seems quite promising.
Are the devs so lazy ? It looks worse than Zelda on DS...they could at least make it more like Four Sword Adventures with the shading and all. :/
I've been a fan of Zelda since the beginning, LTtP being my favorite, this looks fantastic. This is going to make me buy a 3DS if it's good
