Is the latest The Last of Us gameplay video teasing an October PlayStation 4 release date?
I hope so but I think your reading into it too much!
Well they did hint the Last of Us in Uncharted 3
Yes but TLOU releases on June 14th a couple of days after e3 which in sure will announce the release date so what would be the point of this hidden "tease" or reveal?
Well Unchared 3 was released a month before the VGAs and it still included a reference to The Last of Us. So even if it's coming out after E3 this teaser has already been shown off now.
Which I dont get. All games In NA release on a Tuesday. June 14th is a Friday. I have taken this day off from work but I'm still sketchy about it lol
Root You completely missed his point. Uncharted 3 was released before TLoU was announced, which is why the tease made sense. Meanwhile, TLoU release date comes after E3, which is where we can all expect an announcement about the PS4's release date, which means ND can't really tease the release date with their game.
Well they already did tease the release date, weren't you reading an article on it just now? Point taken, mission accomplished, and it was show in a teaser trailer, a teaser within a teaser. Genius. Long. Live. Play.
I actually agree with The_Science_Guy here. I'm NOT saying this is true, I'm just pointing out an inconsistently in some people's replies. You argue that they can't tease the console launch date because the console launch date will be announced prior to release of the game ... and yet here you are discussing an article about a possible tease in TLOU. Can't you see that? LOLOLOL! The sometimes hilarious logic of N4Gers has me in stitches.
@JP1369 Are you forgetting that The Last Of Us was delayed from May, a month before E3? It could have just been left in there. Even though we haven't played the game, here we are taking about the shot. And who knows what's in the demo.
They did? Where?
They did hint the Last of Us? How? When? Where?
The last of us tease http://www.vg247.com/2011/1...
would be cool if we saw an infected drake in the last of us
Yes I know the Newspaper on the bar and they didnt really tease it they said there was a clue or reference in U3 about Naughty dogs next game. That was before the videos were rolling out if Im not mistaken. The BBC one. Anyway keyword is BEFORE not after since the release date would be teased in a game that will come out after an official release date is revealed, it just doesnt make sense... I juat dont see ND going through all that trouble to make a video that was probably already finished a couple of months ago for a teaser of the PS4 at a time when Sony probably didnt even know the release date in a TRAILER, your just clinging at straws here m8...
nice, now bring GTAV and GT6 And we are good there go.
It's probably a teaser for Uncharted 4 that will be shown at the VGAs.
VGAs take place in December. It certainly could be a teaser for Uncharted 4, but it's difficult to imagine why ND would put that kind of information in a game that is slated to release after E3, at which point all of the PS4's heavy hitters will have been given plenty of coverage.
Holiday 2013 people. As far as im concerned. That doesnt start till November
8:00 PM.. 2x4=8... Theres a 4 in there!. 10 + 17 + 13 = 40.. 40 HAS A 4 IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MAH GUWD~! /joke
you're getting like jim carrey in that movie number 23, lol
I doubt it. You know where this guy got his article idea? From a comment in the article on here with Sony saying they know the PS4's launch date. Lol!! Don't believe me? Go look at my third most recent comment and you will see from my reply who stated this little rumor/hint.
The Sooner the Better. Sony Has My Money.
It's most likely an announcement for Uncharted 4.
On what days do consoles usually release? oct, 17th is a Thursday...seems like an weird day to release a console...
i think its a good idea for a Thursday, most people get there checks on Friday and have the rest of the weekend to pick it up, more so if they have direct deposit. Looks like a small idea, but its better then any other day of the week. :D
I never understood why games release on a tuesday, especially for a midnight release. Saturday would be better IMO, but then again i am no business major.
Most GAMES usually release on Tuesday, so that right there is odd. Aaaand, I just Wikipedia'd PS2's release date and that was October 26th, 2000 in North America. Which was on a Thursday. The original PlayStation was released on a Saturday, PlayStation 3 on a Friday, PSVita on a Wednesday, PSP on a Thursday. So it honestly doesn't seem too consistent. But I'd more than put money on it being released on a Thursday if any of those previous (Wed-Sat) days mean anything. ::EDIT:: Unless Sony is going on the whole Karma/Luck thing. I just noticed two of their most successful platforms were released on a Thursday. PS2 was their most successful console, and PSP so far has outperformed the Vita. (Of course the PS1 released on a Saturday, but that's a console, not a handheld device)
it launches two days after e3......i wish that would be spectacular!!
HA LOL what a stupid article, ND said it themselves, sure they'd LOVE to bring Last Of Us to PS4 but probably wont happen hence the difference in architecture between the two consoles.
Not to mention, it would hurt PS3 sales and PS4 sales. I mean if you are already planning on buying a PS4, then having an extra game is nice. But existing PS3 owners will take it as "I'll just wait a little longer since PS3 is still getting some games and I'll wait for the next epic game to come out on PS4 when it has a larger library. Keep Last on PS3, I want PS4 games on ma PS4.
Lol really dumb analogy. So basically if they had put any other year on that sign then it would be like a tease for like a new game or something.
Bronze trophy unlocked - mastered the art of straw grasping. Just because a date is in a game doent mean its related to anything. It could just be to give the time frame for when the game is set. We know the game is set in a modern day time period, not years in the future, without a character having to actually spell that out for us.
