The Challenges Facing an ‘Always-On’ Console

It’s been a hot topic of discussion since early March, when rumours surfaced that the new Xbox, often referred to as the “Xbox 720,” would feature an “always-on” system requiring gamers to have an internet connection in order to play. Maybe all these billion dollar companies should all start trying to get their own internet out like Google Fiber instead of blowing cash on other stuff when everyone knows online is very important for us and their future.

Sony ISP rolled out their 2gb Internet for $51 a month in Japan.
