PSU reviews the pilot of episode of Defiance which ties in with the MMO of the same name.
I'm jealous that you've managed to not be espoused to anything on MTV
Haha one of the worst shows ever? The cgi was really bad, but I thought the show was decent. I've seen dozens of worse shows. I think ill continue to watch it.
It is a SyFy show so your expectations of CGI should be brought back down to earth. I loved Stargate SG-1, but the effects and whatnot were somewhat cheesy, didn't stop it from being a great show. I still haven't seen this yet..not sure if I want to get into it.. How is the Drama....it isn't predictable is it ? I can't stand when I figure things out 10 minutes in.
It's sorta cliche but has long espisodes (1st was 2hrs) and plenty to take in. I don't watch anything on Syfy but I want to see where this is going storywise as it grabbed my attention enough to want to know more about everything going on. Helps playing the game also as you understand more and it works both ways, you learn/know a little more about both as time goes on. Some CGI is pretty cheesy but some is also done very well. Sets/locations and characters (make up, wardrobe) look very original and unique also, very indepth for a sci-fi basic cable show IMO. Again nothing amazing but for a series priemere it was impressive and if they do it right could be a worthwhile show.
I thought the show was ok, not that good, not that bad. CGI looks dated though. I really liked the characters but their names kinda eluded me though. Will keep on watching to see how the show interacts with the game.
It wasn't one of the worse shows I've ever seen but I thought it was crap. I won't be watching any more of the show.
Defiance - might be the very 1st time when a game is better than the show/movie :))
I may get disagreed for this, but imo, The Walking Dead (Telltale) game's Season 1 was much better than The Walking Dead tv series Season 1. Also, the Chronicles of Riddick game (original Xbox) was FAR better than the movie was. Just a few examples.
I agree with the Riddick comment, but Walking Dead season 1 was the best imo.
but there's quite a major difference: Telltale's Walking Dead wasn't made to promote the series, neither did the series promoted the game other than the name and premise, there's nothing to link it to the TV series the "official" Walking Dead game was the one published by Activision .. and surprise surprise, it tanked as for Ridik, I personally hold the movies above the game or at the same level, the game wasn't bad, but had issues I found it to plasticky, all the people in the game looked like made of wax - in the future, Madame Tussauds turned into a prison and I had to escape it
There are a couple of characters in the Telltale game that is in the series. But, none the less, I do understand what you are implying.
I kind of got into it. *shrugs* A lot better than some of the other shit they show on SyFy. Will be tuning in on Monday nights.
First 30 did not grab me but by the end of the show I was happy. I think Nolan is the best on there.
You have been exposed to some premium shows if this is the worst show you've ever watched...
I'm still on the fence about the show I don't know wether I hate it or like it.
I appreciate your candor on this and the lack of spoilers. I'll be watching the pilot either tonight or tomorrow and then hopefully time willing to the online excursions associated with the show over the weekend. I have been enjoying the game but it started to feel a little flat and repetitive to me after 6hrs.
I like the show even though the action looks kinda cheesy. I'm playing the episode missions between the shows. You had to have played the game to know how Nolan got the gulanite in the show
