Nintendo 3DS owners can now begin exploring Amami City as video game publisher Atlus releases the cyberpunk and gothic horror RPG Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (Soul Hackers for short). Originally released in 1997 only for the Japanese markets, the new release of Soul Hackers is exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS and is available for $39.99. Pre-orders and gamers who purchase the first printing of the title at launch will receive a limited edition music CD, which consists of six fan-voted tracks that are inspired by the original Soul Hackers soundtrack.

Sounds interesting, what's the 3DS like for importing games etc.. are the games region free? Is it possible to get anything to allow to play imported stuff?

That's a vague question, if you mean first in the Shin Megami series then no it is not. If you mean first as in the devil summoner series it is not as well, it's the second game in the devil summoner series. All of the Shin Megami games are stand alone so you don't have to experience one to know what happens in the other.
