5pb. is bringing Goichi Suda’s Guild 01 3DS shoot ‘em up Liberation Maiden to PlayStation 3 in the form of an adventure game, this week’s Famitsu reveals.
I wish Level-5 could make a DQ8 remake, Ni No Kuni 2 or an entirely new game.
Well a rpg is always welcome in my book specially a jrpg lol .. And coming from level 5 it's going to be good may the game be what ever it is
Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that they will make a Ni no Kuni 2; i loved that game. And I'm still waiting for Rogue Galaxy 2 :(
I'm... Confused by this... It's a new game based off the 3DS one, but on a different system?
The 3DS game was a SHUMP with visual novel like cut scenes. The PS3 game is a sequel to the 3DS one but it is only a visual novel game. Kinda disappointing that the PS3 game isn't something more than a visual novel. 5bp barely does anything for the PS3 so take it for what you will.
I dunno, in my case I love Visual Novels. It's nice to have a story that you can sit down and enjoy without having to do a whole lot. Then again, I'm a writer, so... Stories are my main focus in most cases. :] Also, never played the 3DS one. If it is indeed a sequel, I'll have to check it out pretty soon.
They want to expand the audience. So people with PS3 who play this visual novel eventually will buy the 1st game on 3DS. And if it's got more sell, than maybe they will made a third game or anime tv series for liberation maiden. Personally, i'm a little bit happy with this news. Because liberation maiden is one of my favorite 3DS game. Hopefully, xseed / aksys will bring this to US.
Is the story behind Liberation Maiden any good? Still have yet to buy the 3DS game, but it's pretty cheap... Kinda tempting.
@Snookies12 Hmm, how do i put it...it's not in the how bad or good level of discussion. But the story really simple and you will enjoy the characters (well it's only Shoko and her vice president from start to finish) or the world behind created by Suda51. Too bad it ended so quickly and with a cliffhanger too. If you like a shooter game with mecha and anime cutscenes, than i'll suggest you buy this game. It's cheap anyway ($5).
Would love to see an English version for this, along with many other visual novel games like Stein;s Gate and Robotic;s Notes.
But at $60? Or rather the $90 to $120 Japanese pay. But just imagine if someone put actual effort into a VN where you had choices and character interactions as well as a few logical environmental puzzles.
