Guacamelee Review | Nerdluster

Nerdluster: Dust rolls through the wide alley-ways off a paved square in Old Town Ontario. A setting sun glances off the agave fields casting a yellow tinge across the buildings as a group of standard fare geeks carrying spandex leggings, leather boots and Lucha máscaras passes by. This is the team of Drinkbox Studios and they're hot off the release of their second game series for the PSN. The romantic scene above never actually happened, but to play Drinkbox's latest game entitled Guacamelee you'd believe most of the group was deeply steeped in Mexican culture and the Lucha Libre lore for the better part of their lives. (Guacamelee, PS Vita, PS3) 90/100

This game is a great reason to own a PS Vita IMO...I'm on my second playthrough right now and it's just as fun when it's almost impossible while set on the hardest difficulty. The cross play compatibility really makes it easy to move back and forth between consoles. Hopefully the success of this game means they'll bring it to XBLA as well - fingers crossed.

Very good game, and we need more like it, all I have to do is beat the game on hard and Ill have the platinum.

@wellmont They made this game using Sony's pub fund so I doubt it will see a release on other consoles

Makes sense now that I look at it...still looked initially like it was more independent than other SCEA assisted ventures.
