I’m conflicted about the Castle of Illusion “re-imagining”

From the article, "Sega has just announced a reboot of Castle of Illusion Featuring Mickey Mouse for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows and I don’t know what to think. I’m looking at the first round of screenshots of this re-imagining and watching the first trailer and I just don’t know. I want to be happy about the announcement. I want to think that it is, without a doubt, good news. I mean, I loved playing Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. It was one of the best games on the Genesis. Yet, I can’t muster the same enthusiasm about its revival as I did for DuckTales Remastered."

The Hub looks off....the old game never had massive books and envelopes scattered around. It wasn't a fantasy castle it was a scary looking witches castle.

Not too sure on the 2.5d look aswell

Least with Ducktales they kept it simple and more towards the feel of the old game

See I hated that game...they were just using Castle of Illusion to sell a handheld version of Epic Mickey. The problem was that it wasn't continuing the Illusion games because Epic Mickey and the Illusion games are two totally different franchises.
