Leaked Splinter Cell Blacklist Stealth Trailer Sneaks Out

A video that’s posted online then taken down and erased from the net? Sounds Fish(er)y. That’s the story behind the trailer below, at any rate, so get your conspiracy theories ready.

The trailer shows off Splinter Cell Blacklist’s stealth gameplay, and actually looks promising. It’s not exactly Chaos Theory, but at least the non-lethal options look viable. One can hope. (PC, PS3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Xbox 360)

Was it leaked, or did it just sneak out?
lawks_land  +   865d ago
It was released, but then pulled by Ubisoft.

Well....that was.....hmm.

The letter S has never been so deadly. This looks great to be honest. Let's see how the stealth elements pan out in actual gameplay but from this trailer it doesn't seem so radically far removed from the original formula as we feared.

This game looks great! I'll be picking this one up for sure.

Looks bad,

inb4 one button contextual actions and QTEs

Better than clunky interactions and static animations, imo.

pretty mediocre trailer imo. this hasn't sold me on the game at all. the voice acting is below standard.

i'll wait for further gameplay videos or a demo before making a final judgement.

The voice acting just doesnt fit the game.
Neo Nugget  +   865d ago
I actually think I'm going to like the new voice for Sam. Sure, it isn't as gritty as before, but I think I can live with it.
Codeman420  +   865d ago
the thing i dont like about it is the game takes place after conviction so hes older and the VO just sounds like hes too young for how old he is.
MYSTERIO360  +   865d ago
Yeah i know, even though Ubi wanted motion capturing this time round and needed someone younger i still feel they should of dubbed over this guys voice with Ironsides.

Good lord at this point, does anyone even care? Splinter Cell was a great series last gen, 1-3 where just amazing, Chaos Theory was just do damn great.......and then the bad times start.

I'm just going to pretend it ended with Chaos Theory. I like Splinter cell now like how i Like glass in my eyes.

I thought it was a good game. Just not a good Splinter Cell game.

I think they should drop the mark and execute and make it easier for you to die. You would never take two guys on toe to toe in the first three games. Now its too easy to mow down a group of 4 or 5.
Ezz2013  +   865d ago
yep, i agree
you know...i'm still waiting for real splinter game like Double Agent ...that was really awesome game
Bathyj  +   865d ago
Actually I didnt really like DA. I suppose it was alright, I just found it boring going back to the home base every second level.
Ezz2013  +   865d ago
then what was your best Splinter cell game ?!
Bathyj  +   865d ago
Chaos Theory, but I probably played the first one more than any of them.
mike32UK  +   865d ago
The final months of this generation are blowing my mind! There's such a high standard of games coming out, it's nice to see te consoles bowing out in style. Splinter Cell, The Last of Us, Beyond, GTAV, Tomb Raider, Bioshock:Infinite and the list goes on! Bring on next gen!
AkatsukiPain  +   865d ago
The splinter cell series was always good, I just wish they would take away the green light from his night vision goggles because it always took away from the stealth hiding in a dark area with the green light just saying, "Im right here". It just didnt feel stealthy with it on. This looks pretty good though, hope we see more at e3.

Its a game mechanic so you can see yourself in the dark. Its not supposed to be realistic.
AkatsukiPain  +   864d ago
Well its suppose to be a stealth game. As I said before looking at yourself in a dark corner with a bright green light on your head just feels like dumb ai. It feels like I have a flashlight on my head on trying to hide in the dark. Makes the stealth feal off.

Looks pretty indicative of the game and contains elements to suit more than one play style which is good.

Should have been the first trailer shown instead of Sam Mark and Exing his way through an entire camp full of terrorists....and a random air strike.
I could forgive the casual direction ubisoft is taking the series if:

A) they don't do it to the next rainbow six

AND

B) they bring back spy vs mercs.
