ACE: Ni no Kuni - Wrath of the White Witch Review

ACE: Ni No Kuni has already been out for two years, at least overseas it has. It was released back in Japan in 2011 and was extremely well received, encouraging co-developers Level -5 and Studio Ghibli to localize the game and bring it overseas.

The same, charming gameplay and story has been a hit here, with the game easily being one of the best RPGs to come out in recent years with a unique combat system, well designed plot, and a variety of endearing characters you encounter in this “coming of age” story. (Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3) 8.5/10

The score is a bit too generous, the game is an average Japanese RPG.

There's nothing average about the game.

Yea, what was I thinking!! The game is above average in every aspect!! lol I'll give you that it is one of the better JRPG's this generation, but this has been the worst generation thus far for JRPG's. I think you are forgetting what we were used to for SNES, PS1 and PS2, those were the golden ages of JRPG's.

i know what you mean, this game has a few things that dont make it an unforgettable experience. First i liked the story but it's falls kinda low from the middle of the game and it's also quite linear and i knew what was gonna happen or where i had to go next before they even talk about it.

I liked the parallel worlds idea in this game but i didnt feel they went deep enough with the idea, it's always to heal someone an nothing else.

The fights are interesting but one thing really annoying is that i never had to try other familiars than the 3 i had since the begining and the weapon customisation is very basic as well.

Great game in the end, one of the best JRPGs this generations and for sure the most beautiful of them all!!!
