We probably won't be seeing a Halo 5 release until at least 2015 and I'm definitely not in a rush with the new forge islands and castle map pack, but I do want 343i to vastly overhaul forge mode and give us back firefight. I love Spartan Ops and what it stands for by pushing the story forward, but I can't see myself re-visiting spartan ops missions after I've defeated them, unlike firefight mode which is just pure fun with waves of enemies with score-keeping. And that's another thing. Score-keeping is surprisingly absent and it'd be cool to see it back....oh yeah, and dual-wielding-> that needs to make a return and camo needs to go back as pick-ups.

Really they should be able to recreate firefight in spartan ops at least. I mean everythings basically there. They just have to change some things around.

You really think Cortana is gone....are you serious, they wouldn't dare kill her off for good. It's just going to be a plot point in Halo 5, to find her.

Cortana represents the emotional side to Chief, the side which is logical and actually shows some emotion for the things going on around them despite being an AI and the Chief being more human then her, this shows you how hardened John has become where an AI becomes more emotional then him.. They wouldn't get rid of her because she's a part of Chief, two main characters in one.

Maninja1199d ago

That's exactly why they killed her off. 343 wanted players to realize that chief is his own character, which we have been seeing in the novels over the past decade. They want us to see how human he is and taking away cortana is the best way to do that. I really like cortanas character, but I was glad 343 killed her off because I'm sure It will fulfill their promise of the reclaimer trilogy being all about chiefs humanity. Bringing here back would take away the meaning of her sacrifice.

We'll probably get a new ai in Halo 5 and see Cortana come back in Halo 6.

Hooby1199d ago

If you played nothing but the games, you would think of her as part of the chief, but she's only been with him for approx 2-3 months (real non sleeping time).

The other 35+ years of his life was with his fellow spartans. And some of them are still alive. They should reclaim their rightful throne as chiefs pals, something I've been hoping for since Halo 2.

aviator1891198d ago

I wonder if we'll find those lost spartans. Are they still alive?

1nsaint1198d ago

Glad she's gone, never liked cortana, especially in halo 4, she was having her period the whole game.

Also how universal is that chip cortana is on? :P It fits in every slot, either master chiefs head, the infinity and even ancient forerunner tech

Dr. Halsey joins the covenant at the end of Spartan Ops. Going to be interesting story wise.
