Opinion: The Worst Company In America, Again

STP: For the second year in a row, angry gamers have voted Electronic Arts as the worst company in America on the consumer advocate blog, The Consumerist. At Slide To Play, we are dedicated to protecting the interests of gamers from companies that would sell them shoddy products, excessive in-app purchases, and cumbersome digital rights management. But once again, we must urge The Consumerist and its voters to step back and take a look at the bigger picture.

"Why didn’t a manufacturer of assault rifles and high-capacity magazines end up in The Consumerist’s yearly poll?"

1. I recall the Consumerist mentioning the number of consumer complaints against X company providing the 32 choices in the bracket. If those assault rifles/high-cap magazines work, what does the consumer have to complain about?

2. It's short-sighted to solely blame a gun company for, you know, making guns (extending also to military/police contracts), especially when our government has had a litany of tragic moments that give reason for us to move past archaic gun control laws for the general public.
