At first I thought the FF VVI was a typo. And then he did it again. How do you mess up the roman numerals when they are on the box art?

Interesting to see Harry Potter up there too.

The days when games sold well over 5 million. all five titles of them.

Guess that's where Square thought the current TR could sell as many.

I don't get the fuss about gran Turismo. Don't get me wrong, I love the GT games, but GT1 and GT2 sold the most out of all ps1 games? Not to mention GT5 is the best selling ps3 game. They're great racers, but I just don't get it.

You don't understand GT selling so well?

"They're great racers..." -It seems you do understand!

"...but I just don't get it." -Or not?

The original GT was unlike any racing game on consoles up to that time. It went well above and beyond what people expected a racer to be, and approached all but the best PC simulators of the time.

Since then, it has always been top tier in it's presentation and game play, and for the most part adds in more and more features with each release. While certain features are missing that may make it more comparable to the mid-range PC simulators nowadays, the fan base for it is really strong, and it is the definition of a system seller.

No Crash Bandicoot?

Crash is 9th with 6.82 millions copies sold and Crash Bandicoot 3 sits in 6th position with 7.13 million sales. Harry Potter did so well simply because of the name.

There is something wrong with that list on wikipedia, it doesn't have Final Fantasy 8 on it which i believe should be in the top 5 having sold more than 8 million units since 2003.

I'm surprised Tekken 3 didn't make the list; or Xenogears. I did contribute to GT 1 and 2 though :D
