Guacamelee! Review | Game Rant

Game Rant: "There are so many little touches strewn about that even the title’s odes to gaming’s past are enough to make it worth recommending. That being said, the game still carves its own path, making the Metroidvania genre more accessible than ever. Players that like a little comedy in their games, or who love the games within the Metroid or Castlevania lineage will adore Guacamelee!."

not enjoying the gameplay at all, I give it a 2/5. gameplay isn't balanced.

How is it not balanced? I'm not having any gameplay issue... so I'm curious to know what you think is unbalanced.

I stopped playing at jaguar javier with his OP combo attacks that he loves to spam, barely reacts when you land your combos and even when you're able to knock him down he's able to get up and counter immediately, unlike yourself. the side quests are boring; story is a snoozer...just overall the gameplay is annoying and not fun at all.

You have to learn his pattern... he killed me the first time while I was figuring it out, then the 2nd time I beat him without even losing a quarter of my energy. He has a tell, which means he's fixing to swing. Jump over him as he's swinging, DO THE YELLOW ATTACK, which knocks him on the ground, then run over and punch him a few times while he's down. Rinse and repeat.
