Only Top Tier + Indie Titles Survive Next Gen?

UBiSoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat in a piece by Gamespot. Expressed his perspective that the next generation of gaming is going to be about triple "A" games, and Indie titles. There is evidence that lends strong credence to his observation, but the question is. Do the trends tell the real story? Is there no room for middle tier games, or "B" games as he would like to call them. Perhaps the next generation is more about price then it is software? (EA, Indie, Industry, Next-Gen, Ubisoft)
