Are the Wii U figures with the "HUGE" 125% sales spike in the UK and "TRIPLE" sales in France? Looks like it managed to reach TEN THOUSAND UNITS! The PS3 did not have any sales spikes and is only at 44,000 units! Burn in jealousy Wii U haterz! Hah! :S
Joking aside I said it before that "percentages" and times do not mean a thing without base figures. If the sales figures for Wii U still look like this then what good was the alleged sales spike? Similarly, Wii U sales fell back to low levels in Japan again even with DQX on its side. Nintendo fans were hoping for better sales for DQX (sold only 33,000 or 35,000 in first week) next week because they claimed it got only one day of sale in the first week. Ironically, the next week it only solf 9,000 units and Wii U sales sank again. I do not hate the Wii U but I do hate the blind defending by Nintendo fans and downplaying the technical superiority of other next-gen systems.

Blind?
Say what you will. What I see is money only being made by Nintendo. Microsoft just started making it, and Sony is in the red. Nintendo prospers when "hardcore" gamers don't care about Nintendo. I think that's what drives you crazy.

can't wait to get my hands on a playstation 3 slim slim slim

lol! I admit that Sony is in the red but it has been providing us with quality exclusives after exclusives to play along with all the third party games. Moreover Sony is not just a games company unlike Nintendo; it is multinational corporation. Their games division is the healthiest and the losses are mainly due to the TV division along with a few others. They are restructuring; selling excessive assets and laying off excessive staff to reduce costs and return to profitability. It is a business; you have good times and you also have bad times. It happens,so what? On the other hand, you guys dont have the courage to admit that you guys were wrong in your predictions and the Wii U is performing horribly. When you guys have no other excuse left then you resort to revenue, money and profits. For all the revenue Nintendo earned, it could not build a decent console and could not secure AAA third-party games after the initial ports. Hell, it hasnt been able to release any AAA first party games even. Do you buy the console for making Nintendo money or playing games?

I do not understand a person's obsession with sales nintendo fan or otherwise, if you think your system is good but people aren't buying it well then its their loss, one could argue that lack of sales means less support but in nintendo's case they usually step in after a while so...

AsimLeonheart4029d ago

Well, sales mean success and success means more developer support. Poor sales mean failure, less support by developers and less games to play. The state of the Wii U developer support and game drought is a proof of the significance of sales. Similarly performance of the competitor's console can mean success or failure of your console so you have to monitor that as well. That is why informed gamers care about sales.

Something about recreating old school graphics in an era of HD high poly photo realism just hits a spot. I'm not nostalgic cause I mostly played GameCube and GB/A, but it's a visual style that gets over looked even by indies.
