Codemasters unveils GRID 2's RaceNet features

GRID 2, an upcoming racing title from British game development studio Codemasters, will have a number of its features powered by RaceNet. It's the online extension for Codemasters Racing games which tracks players' races, rivals, and rewards. Furthermore, Codemasters has stated that the game's multiplayer game mode will offer an entirely distinct progression system from that of the single-player career mode to offer depth and flexibility to the game. (GRID 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Browser-based stat checking sounds pretty interesting to me. I imagine it would only appeal to really hardcore players though.

Seems to me like their version of EA's crappy Autologous service. I cannot stand "features" like this.
