XBL is microsofts history of why they been successful. Other then that they have a few great exclusives but as for microsoft studios gaming portfolio is average at best.

Edit: Also in the other article about adam orth I couldnt respond with 2 bubbles. My bad xbox ppl.

Its because microsoft keeps shifting its focus to what brings in more cash. Due to lackluster sales of Alan Wake, Lost Odyssy, Blue Dragon & Others I didnt mention, this is the reason for no new exclusives ip's in the last 3 to 4 years. New ip's cost money & isnt a sure seller & is the reason microsoft focused more on 3rd party exclusive dlc & kinect games.

I get the perception of lack of exclusives on the 360 but the reality is pretty interesting. Far more than I thought coming specifically from Microsoft Studios.

I won't throw up a big list but give a link instead:

Really hasn't been known for anything too great except for maybe the original halo, trash talking kids on xbl, and lots and lots of fps games. Guess that counts for something in some circles tho. I mean it had some games I loved playing, but Xbox as a brand hasn't done much for gaming that hasn't already been done.

Perhaps you fail to recognize the significance and greatness of Xbox Live.

It made online prominent, which I'm not convinced is a good thing but it certainly is popular, and brought the built in hard drive as standard, which definitely was a good thing. Its no secret I think the MS has lost its focus with the 360, but the Xbox1 was a great machine.

i have lots of great memories with the original xbox. Bought it day 1

I didnt have it the day of launch, but my friend bought Halo over when he got his, which was a game I had been tracking even before MS decided to make an Xbox.

We played it all night and I rushed out and brought one the next day.

Jade Empire was my favorite game on it followed by KOTOR 1, and the Splinter Cell games.

Still remember about original XBox with that humongous circular thingy with XBox logo at the center of the control pad aka " the Duke " - and thought it was supposed to light up or something..

..have 2 of them and actually only used about once or twice I believe, very much in perfect mint condition.

Honestly I really enjoyed the variety of games and playing experience on the original XBox than my 360.

Still play Fatal Frame, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, JSRF and others from time-to-time.
