Yannis Mallat on next-gen trends, rising development costs, and managing a team of more than 2,700 people.
If you're expecting the next generation of consoles to change everything, you may be a bit disappointed. Speaking with GamesIndustry International at the Game Developers Conference last month, Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat said he expects a continuation of market trends that have emerged in recent years.
"You gather as much talent as possible, and you give them three things: Trust, means, and insane challenges. Usually they come back with pretty good stuff."
Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."
Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.
*Ubi takes gun, aims at foot, empties clip*
Top executives including games boss Sean Shoptaw have also been promoted…
Behind XDefiant's toxic work culture, crunch, delays, and a group of directors and managers internally referred to as 'The Boys Club'.
Man the industry just keeps on going with all this bs and to think this is ubisoft again remember what happened with that skull bones team same crap.

This game will be tossed out broken unplolished with a bloated budget trying to be cod but will fail sense ubi can get there shit in order. If i was me i would have gotten rid of this boys club asap there is alot looking for work out there.
Every industry has these issues
Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
"No B-games" eh? While I commend Ubisoft for their work on the AAA games they bring out, why the heck do they also produce shovelware, like the fitness and Rabbids games?
Well the answer's obvious; "$$$".
Meh Ubisoft has always been hit or miss for a long time now. So sure I guess when I see it happen first. Cause they have made games that probably would be graded lower than a B to begin with.
Just being realistic. Hell I love some of their games but some of them are just terrible. To each their own maybe someone out there loves them all but every game Ubisoft has made has been B's and A's? I don't think so.
I would hope they mean it though. That is bold statement, I will say.
I hate when I click edit and it instead posts the same message twice.
costs are getting higher
I'll take a good B game like Deadly Premonition over their yearly AC releases
