Ready at Dawn Ready for Next-Gen

Ready at Dawn president Didier Malenfant tells Next-Gen what the developer has up its sleeve following the launch of God of War: Chains of Olympus and the upcoming release of Okami for Wii, and what next-gen means to him.

The head of the studio that is comprised of former members of Naughty Dog and Blizzard Entertainment also tells Next-Gen that PlayStation 3 is likely to be the victor in the current console race, but says the next hardware cycle could be much more interesting.

Very good news for PS3 owners.

What about Naughty Dog?

And does anybody know if Ready at Dawn will be a multiplatform company? Or straight up Sony only? I would imagine they'd make a excellent multiplat title, although of course if they make a PS3 exclusive title it will be mind-boggling without any constraints.

They sure as heck know the PSP hardware inside and out, and my guess is that they won't have any problems for the PS3.

Edit: N/M, just realized they are making Okami for the Wii. So I guess they are going multiplat.

They have just about finished the port for "Okami" on the Wii, so that means they are multi-plat and not exclusive to Sony.

it's a shame they won't make more PSP games. They were really good at it. Can't wait to see what they're cooking for the PS3. Should be good stuff.

But, we both know it`s worth it. I put them right up there with Insomniac, having another one of them working on the PS3 is a great thing.

engine can be used for new games on the PSP, so we can expect o see some great games graphicly at least.

So Okami is a port, and I'd think the jump from PSP to PS3 would be fairly big. Then again, if these are former BLIZZARD and Naughty Dog employees...they can probably pull off some MacGuyver type stuff with any piece of hardware.

Whatever it is, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.
