Rayman Legends delay results in 30 new levels, several new boss fights

Rayman Legends' extra time in the oven has resulted in developer Ubisoft Montpelier adding 30 extra levels and several new boss fights. "Trust me, the things we are adding aren't minor. We're not talking about adding some polish here and there, but 30 new levels and several new bosses," Senior Game Manager Michael Micholic said in an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine.

Rayman Legends has been delayed twice, the most recent delay last month when it got pushed to September in favor of a simultaneous launch across Wii U, Xbox 360 and PS3. The reception of this latest delay was negative, to say the least, with even Rayman creator Michel Ancel joining in on the protest. (Nintendo, PS3, Rayman Legends, Ubisoft, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Rayman Origins is - hands down - one of the absolute best platformers ever created. I was already excited for this game when I played the WiiU demo of Legends at a Best Buy several months ago. Now that the game is getting even MORE content?!? *faints*

Whats the point, people who would of bought this game on Wii U will be saving up their pennies for the big Nintendo games this fall if the rumors are true. Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Yarn Yoshi etc or whatever else they might want to buy near Christmas.

If that's true then they'll have no one to blame but themselves when the 3rd party games dry up (more than it is now).

I ll better buy them all :)

That's good news, but for those of us who have played the demo on Wii U, it is very hard to see this game being as good on any other console. The gamepad integration is just amazing. Part of the appeal, at least for me was the innovative gameplay and also the visuals.
Maybe Ubi will include PS3/Vita combo? I do know that back in August Ubi said that "to get an experience similar to Wii U consumers would have to purchase a PlayStation Vita or a touchscreen device compatible with the Xbox SmartGlass application"
Either way I will pick the better version up, whether its Wii U or PS3.

Ubisoft has already said that they are not going to force PS3 owners to buy a Vita to get the same experience.

They are probably removing those features on PS3 and 360 version making it play like Origin.

why remove it when it can be optional?

I was just saying that the game would lets just say if Wii U's version got a 8.5 because of gameplay well that would drop the other versions down quite a bit, and not just because of graphics but gameplay. Oh and Ubi-Soft said THIS...."We don't want to have the players dependent on other technology to make sure they have the FULL experience" That SIR is why it was SUPPOSED to be an exclusive to WII U...Here is the link..So NO as of now the Wii U version will be the best, UNLESS u have SmartGas or Vita....here is the link... http://mynintendonews.com/2...
So you are telling me that if I played the game on Pro-Controller that it would be the same as the gamepad. Hardly. I have played the demo.

Idk, but to me it looks that all this clearly was planned to be released as paid DLC, but now it will be in game.
