It's sad when these things happen, but Raccoon City was a pile of crap. And I mean in every facet of the game, from the gameplay, animation, to the story, to the sound, etc. None of these guys are getting away with blaming that terrible game on another team member. So these guys are not gonna have an easy time finding work if their potential new employers play RE: ORC. They should leave that out of the resume.

I don't like when studios lay off their developers, and I feel bad for these people who are now out of a job. But at the same time, Slant Six is fucking horrible. They butchered Socom and they butchered Resident Evil. They have zero talent, so I'm really not surprised to see this.

This is how the game and movie industries work. Layoffs are so common and inevitable that I highly doubt any one of them aren't ready for it.

Slant Six is just a terrible studio that produces nothing but worthless garbage
Oldman100  +   840d ago
Harsh, but sadly true...

They produced so much worthless garbage that they decided to change the company name and emigrate to mobile gaming.

Wow, even typing that out seemed pathetic!

That would be Nihilistic, not Slant Six.

lol
Oh wow, I didn't even realize that I confused the two! Thanks for the correction, porkChop!

Both Slant Six and Nihilistic are the anus' of the gaming industry. I guess the question now is who layered the kitchen walls with the most crap?

I agree that they did a number on Socom but not as bad as Zipper Interactive. Zipper turned S4 into an abomination. XP, Snap to Cover, Small maps etc.

What the hell is Siant Six?

Took long enough.

Bad development team anyway, how they got their hands on the likes of Socom and Resident Evil I'll never know.
Although in fairness their not the only ones who have made a crap Res game.

I respect Slant Six, at least they tried to make a real Socom game (cant say the same for Zipper who butchered it). They had a crap budget and the game was rushed, if you play Confrontation now after all the patches its the best Socom since S2.
