“The Sony Of Today Is A Different Sony To Five Years Ago” – Guerrilla Technical Director

TSA: "Speaking back in February at Sony’s PS4 reveal, Guerrilla Games’ Michiel Van Der Leeuw has said that “The Sony of today is a different Sony to five years ago,” agreeing that the company was focused on revealing a new Sony, rather than just a new console."

I prefer the current Sony.

Some people Disagree with you , really?

It seems Sony of now understands that the Sony of the past 5-6 years isn't how things should be.

MY guess. This gen is going to give us some all time classics like N64 & PSone did.

Cam9771867d ago (Edited 1867d ago )

Uncharted: 2
Dark Souls
Demon's Souls
Fallout 3
Assassin's Creed 2
Just Cause 2

You can't say this gen is short of 'classics'. Maybe on the Xbox side of gaming, but by far this isn't the case on the PS3.

He's right. Sony's share price is way lower today than it was five years ago

*Awaits disagrees for stating a fact*

Sevir1867d ago

Totally misinterpret everything. But sure let's just say the stock price for the successful business conglomerate is lower today than it was 5 years ago. While still being a fact was totally not the point of the article or the message.

But troll is as troll does...

And your comments mean much less today then it did the first time you joined n4g;-)

CEOSteveBallmer1867d ago

LOL youre a funny guy. Fact or not lets see in the immediate future whos laughing. Sonys or your preferred system. Im guessing your on microsofts side since there is an article about Microsoft being 2nd highest in stocks since all they care about is money and screwing customers since they are still willing to pay.

kenshiro1001867d ago

What does share price have to do with the article?

MasterCornholio1867d ago

Hes talking about the direction that there taking with their consoles not stock price.

Sony doing a great job catering to gamers recently while Microsoft and Nintendo have gone crazy over the casuals.

Deal with it.

How's that trolling working out for your portfolio? Getting any offers on your stocks and bonds? No? Ok. Keep at it.

Some of you take his silly comment WAY too seriously lol.

Tultras1867d ago

You didn't get disagrees for stating a fact, just by the way.

At a funeral, a person doesn't go ahead and say to the deceased family " the guys dead, he's never coming back " even though it's a fact.

A bit of a wild example, but I hope you get what I mean.

Any and all mistakes of the past are thoroughly behind them and the restructuring under Kaz has done them wonders. The future is incredibly bright for Sony.

KwietStorm1867d ago

I wouldn't say it's done them wonders. They actually haven't *done* anything yet. While the PS4 looks better than breakfast in bed, it hasn't hit the market yet, and Sony still has other lines of products to sell as well. I remember back in the 90s you couldn't walk into someone's house without seeing Sony TVs and radios. Now everyone is on this Samsung love boat. I know Sony has the quality, but I would like to see them undercut Samsung on the pricing and storefront promotions.

dcbronco1867d ago

I think the change at the top has done wonders. Sony made a lot of dumb decisions last generation in gaming and a lot in other departments. Adding Blu-ray and the Cell in the PS3. Making Blu-ray period. Some may like it but it hasn't been what they thought it would and never will be.

But now they have made better decisions in gaming. I hope they adjust in the exclusives department. They realize streaming is better than Blu-ray for most. Only some want to keep hundreds of movies. The price on the 4k TVs is nice. That is an amazing mass market introduction. Plasmas were $15,000 at launch or more. This could have all started 3 or 4 years ago if they had listened to Howard Stringer.

sandman2241867d ago

All I can say is they're headed in the right direction with the ps4.

iGamerZero241867d ago

Couldn't agree more and exciting times ahead

nix1867d ago

it just feels so positive... listening to every bit of news that comes out about Playstation.
