EA's Battlefield 4 poll shows more excitement for multiplayer

82 per cent of Battlefield 4 fans are looking forward to the upcoming game's multiplayer over the single-player campaign, if publisher EA's current poll on the official Battlefield Blog is to be believed.

The poll, which has been running since March 27 and has seen 39,796 votes at time of writing, asks players what they're looking forward to in Battlefield 4 the most: multiplayer or single-player. 82 per cent of respondents--32,706 votes--said multiplayer. (Battlefield 4, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

82% honestly seems low.

I just voted. I honestly can't believe so many people are looking forward to the campaign! BF3's campaign was utter guff and I see no reason to believe BF4's will be any different.

I know, right? I can't believe that there are gamers out there who enjoy playing through campaigns...

I actually play way more single player games than multiplayer. But I like to play good single player games!
Whether or not you like campaigns is completely irrelevant, BF3's single player campaign was rubbish.

@ Fluke_Skywalker:

In your eyes, probably. I happen to know many people who liked the campaign. Yes, the storyline was a bit sketchy/confusing in places, but all in all it was a decent effort. Plus, many Battlefield newcomers appreciated a chance to learn the ropes through single-player before hitting multiplayer.

Battlefield 3's narrative took absolutely nothing away from its multiplayer, so where's the harm in DICE creating a campaign for Battlefield 4?

Drop the SP and focus on the most bad-ass multiplayer + in-game clan support you can possibly imagine.

I can wish right? :o

Unfortunately, EA would never let that happen...

If EA cared about their fans, they'd just drop the single player. It's going to be nothing but a major distraction away from what the fans want and will almost certainly effect the overall quality and value of the multiplayer experience. Still, EA thinks by focusing resources on creating a good single player experience will ultimately mean expanded userbase and more money... on another note, congrats on consecutive worst company in America awards, with such fanbase loyalty, why on Earth would anyone ever vote for you? There can't possibly be that many homophobes can there?

It's not Bad Company so just focus on multiplayer. You will honestly never see me say that to any other game.

BF3 campaign was so boring story wise. It had cool elements, but thats about it. Hopefully they fix the dumb AI and poor animations when killing an enemy. Kinda awkward seeing a polished game in every aspect, but enemies all have the same dying sequence with hardly any hit detection.
