Early PS4 Controller Prototypes Looked Like 'Something Bruce Wayne Would Carry'

Sony may have relied on its pool of development talent to offer feedback on the hardware inside its next generation machine – but it also consulted developers such as Guerrilla Games to elicit feedback on the console’s controller, the DualShock 4. Speaking as part of an interview with EDGE magazine, Evolution Studios’ technical director Scott Kirkland revealed that the British outfit played an “instrumental” role in the design of the refreshed input device. I bet if Chuck Norris would hold it, he wouldn't need a PS4 to play games on the PS4 lol.

Chuck Norris created PS4 when he submerged the PS3 in the glory of his beard as well as the DS3.

People still make/enjoy Chuck Norris jokes?
Jaqen_Hghar  +   694d ago
A man does. A man doesn't see any reason he would suddenly stop enjoying them.

Jean Claude Van Damme over Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.

Living legend that is Jean Claude is still a beast of a fighter at age of 52. He kicks just as high as he did when he was 25.

"

This makes no sense also batman is cooler than chuck.

Chuck Norris is the opposite of Batman.

Batman FTW

Ok? Chuck Norris jokes are dead and buried. That 'joke' of your's is f***ing awful btw. Makes no sense and is literally not funny at all

@Blm

Laugh while you can mate, I don't know why people take jokes so seriously. Sometimes logic eats fun.

Ps4 doesn't need Chuck Norris to shine, he needs ps4 with popcorns and lime.
Godmars290  +   694d ago
But not Tony Stark?
iGAM3R-VIII  +   694d ago
That would be a bit dangerous, I wouldn't feel safe with a controller that shoots missiles and bullets, can fly, can shoot pulses, and all of that.
Godmars290  +   694d ago
What? Like Batman doesn't booby-trap his stuff?
iGAM3R-VIII  +   694d ago
@GodMars True say,
Godmars290  +   694d ago
Actually in the best case with Stark, you'd have a controller which not only didn't need new batteries, but could power your house if not the block.
iGAM3R-VIII  +   694d ago
@Godmars290 that would be the most useful way. I would probably choose an IronMan type of cotroller. Just thought of the PS4 controller in IronMan colour scheme

since we are super hero theming. What if we had a hulk controller? and the angrier you got, the bigger it got :O
GalacticEmpire  +   694d ago
It's not the controller gamers deserve, but the one they need right now.

this reminds me of the boomerang-shape controller.
iGAM3R-VIII  +   694d ago
Quoted directly from the article: "No boomerang jokes, please" lol so you are spot on
Tundra  +   694d ago
Of course Batman would carry this around. It looks cool as hell.
Jaqen_Hghar  +   694d ago
*growly voice* hey Penguin you see my new controller?
*penguin voice* rararara you'll never...wait what? Hey that is pretty coo-*punched out*
*robin comes in* Can I play on PS4?
*growly voice* not until you're done waxing the batmobile, and then only Xbox
*robin* but we don't get wifi in the cave and it won't work without it!

Jus like the early PS3 pad ;)
BitbyDeath  +   694d ago
Don't think Batman would be taken very seriously if he carried a gaming controller around with him everywhere.

Maybe Kickass could get away with it.

The DS4 is a fantastically built controller
delboy  +   693d ago
Early ps4 prototype controller had smartscan for credit cards built in, so you can swipe your cc and pay to play all the games you already paid for.
All my faith is in the hackers now, just crack the thing, and enable all the things Sony wants us to pay for, like ps1 and ps2 games.
There's no need for Gaikai, ps4 can easily emulate those games!

Early prototypes of Cablebox720 has a built-in ATM machine so you constantly renew live and pay twice for the TV apps and enjoy being ripped off

Indeed, she's a thing of beauty. I wonder what the console itself will look like!
