Rock Band Song List Shrinks As Song Licenses Expire

The Rock Band library will be slowly shrinking as time rolls on due to licenses for DLC tracks expiring. The first songs to disappear into the night are the tracks in the Metallica Pack 01 released way back in 2007.

Harmonix states they will be intending to extend as many of the licenses as they can to minimize the impact on their library of tracks. (PS3, Rock Band, Xbox 360)

Good thing these are not removed from the purchaser's systems. That would mean a lot of bad press, especially since it was paid for. Oh well, these things happen, be sure to buy them before they're gone (if you still play Rock Band, that is).

Whoa, never thought of that, my plastic instruments collect dust in my basement though.

Good thing I bought the Metallica pack, it's a shame really, especially since I've invested so much into the franchise, shame to see it slowly dying out song wise.
