Nintendo developing fast bespoke WiiMote chargers, survey suggests

VG247: ''Nintendo has sold a lot of Wii consoles, and at no point did it see fit to release a bespoke charger – similar to Xbox 360 battery packs – meaning we were doomed to horde AA batteries and rechargables for ages. Now, finally, it seems like Nintendo is getting with the times.'' (Nintendo, Tech, Wii, Wii U)

Isn't it a little too late ?

Much too little, much too late in this instance. Where the heck was this five years ago? Thankfully their new wireless controllers don't have this problem (speaking specifically about the Wii U gamepad and Pro controller).

I guess that's nice for Wii U games that can use Wii motes (which is a surprising amount, really). Still, I can't help but feel this is a bit too late of a development.

Maybe they started work on this after cancelling that heart rate monitor attachment.

Think of how much money they could have had but didn't because third party companies jumped at the opportunity for these kinds of things years and years ago. Nyko got a lot of my money for such things.
