Those Addicted to Video Games Should Visit a Slaughterhouse on Kill Day, Says Unhinged Caller

Kotaku - I enjoy public broadcasting and I value public affairs programming, but I reach for the knob as soon as a political show brings in callers. Rarely are they interested in continuing a discussion or offering a point that starts a new one. They're more likely to disguise an opinion as a question, show off in front of a guest expert, or regale the audience with their self-taught constitutional scholarship. (Culture)

I don't know which is worse, the caller, or Kotaku.

:/

right? id love to know the relation between these two seemingly unrelated things.

I didnt want to give kotaku the hits.

Kotaku, for making an article over one caller.

Pfft. There a lot of us that are hunters that kill or raise our own animals and actually do the slaughtering ourselves. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't make us more violent. And it doesn't make me want to eat meat any less or not play "violent" video games.
HammadTheBeast  +   562d ago
You sick animals. Maybe they should cook you up and slaughter you.... wait.. that's VIOLENT!

...damn videogames are getting to me....

Now people who cut their grass NOW those are some Violent Mass Murderers!

The Sound of that Loud Lawnmower drowning out the screams of a Million blades of grass being slaughtered.

I think its a great idea! I'm sending my 6yr old who's addicted to pokemon over there right now!

Do i really have to putt the /s
HammadTheBeast  +   562d ago
His brother was addicted to them "20 years ago", those "violent shoot-em-up" games.

Blaming real world violence for a few pixels. Great.

Yet, Saw, and Final Destination can do whatever the **** they want.

Well at least Death Metal isn't the scape goat anymore. \,,/ (>_<) \,,/
iceman06  +   562d ago
or Rap, Rock and Roll, or Jazz, or that damn Beethoven. LOL They were all scapegoated for some portion of their existence.

I've been in a slaughterhouse on kill day and was shown the entire process when I was 15, it wasn't a big deal but there's a lot more blood in the floor than in any game I've played, although not as much s$#t as in some games.
I went to burger king after that.
xabmol  +   562d ago
All those that eat McDonald's Hamburgers.
Should visit a slaughterhouse.

Because video games have never killed a SINGLE FUCKING THING. But Mickey D's has killed millions of cows!
iceman06  +   562d ago
Umm...If Mickey D's kills that many cows...where does all of the meat go? You are suggesting that McDonald's actually uses...beef?!?! Lol

Lol

"He never not once let me play the game I always had to watch over his shoulder, But I never wanted to play anyway"

Yeah sure buddy whatever you say, try doing research before you call and spout off and sound like a an uninformed American.

Also sounds like he was jealous of his older brother.

Why go to a slaughter house? What the hell is seeing a cow get a dead bolt to the head going to do?

Hell all he had to say was, keep watching the news their will be a murder followed by a rape and then ends with a child abduction.

Ikr, seeing a pig get skinned or what ever wouldn't stop me from eating pork, then why would it stop me from playing games xD

The only thing visiting a slaughter house would make me do is not visit slaughter houses anymore.
Bathyj  +   562d ago
Or someone should make a game in a Slaughterhouse on Killday so I dont have to.
SeraphimBlade  +   562d ago
Great idea! I like my meat fresh!

Too scared to watch video... what's the connection, though?
I am quite sensitive about animals, and I don't want to watch this video because of that. I'm not sure if it shows footage of a slaughterhouse, but even if they're just talking about slaughtering, it will affect me. So I will not watch the video.

But someone who was braver than myself, did they ever say the connection of being addicted to videogames, and going to a slaughterhouse on kill day? I can think of no way those two connect at all...

I used to work in a slaughter house, I was still at school at the time, it's really not a big deal if you're a carnivore.

All you end up seeing is cow shaped beefburgers. If you're not willing to kill what you eat then you should become a vegetarian.
