Why Unecessary Swearing in Video Games Annoys Me

Although she has no problem with swearing, Laura thinks that video games often fail to make it sound normal or natural. She discusses why this is and how the problem could be solved. (Bulletstorm, Culture, Far Cry 3)

No such thing? If your gonna do it right, swear every five minutes like we do in real life, or don't do it at all

Except real people aren't one or the other. I've come across people who swear constantly, in varying amounts of moderation, or not at all.

I was being snarky earlier - allow me to qualify my statement. When I swear, it's necessary. Swearing simply for the sake of swearing or trying to appear "edgy", that's unnecessary.
