Ubisoft Montreal CEO says PlayStation 4's PC-based architecture a "pleasant surprise."
Again, positive PS4 developer reactions. E3, TGS and the whole gaming convention circuit could not come any faster.
It is good to see EVERY developer praise the PS4, it does show how good Sony have improved, they learn from their mistakes and moved on which is great (unlike EA lool). I think the PS4 will have everything right this time around. Can't wait till E3!!!
its a good move to have hardware thats familiar to devs
can't wait to see what naughty dog can do with ps4 ! i believe uncharted 4 on ps4 will be truly truly fantastic!
I just cant wait to see what they have, uncharted on the PS3 already beats most games in my opinion.
Everyone loves PS4
Except the person who disagreed with you. Can't wait for it to come out.
I prefer my gaming pc, but then again Im not on a budget (which I can understand why consoles are better for that reason). However, I'm def going to keep an open mind for the Ps4 because of the controller, and whether or not a lot of my friends jump on board so I can play with them online.
Im not on a budget either i have 2 gaming pcs but it doesnt matter that they have 680s in or i5s or watercooling or ssds cos they dont have the sony exclusives and thats why i get playstations.
PCs have good games but i wouldnt be happy with multiplats all the time.. I like sony exclusives from 1st & 3rd party.. Upgrading a rig constantly is more trouble than what its worth to me.. I play games a lot but not to the point where i need absolute perfection with multiplats
Shhhhh the haters will soon fall upon this article. Green powerz is lurking around mad at the world that his system of chose might have to have online 24/7. not be able to play used games and focuses on kinect.
"Everyone loves ps4 except the ppl that dont matter and just hate out of envy"
Its good to see the PS4 truly adopting PC development like functionality. The one console future is upon us... everything will be pc based and it will be services and exclusives that set companies apart. Denis Dyack... the Nostradamus of gaming LOL
Although I cant wait for the Uncharted and GOW to blow s away. I hope all this goodness helps out sports gaming in a major way. Cant wait...
#dealwiththat MS ps: for PS4 chosen a PC based architecture, will be the PS4 more susceptible to piracy? or this works just for the development?
Yes it would but Sony will find a way to prevent that I'm sure as will MS.
MS has already been using PC based architure in the xbox and 360. Except for a few hiccups here and there, ms and sony are pretty solid against piracy. Remember these companies have the power to ban your account and MS goes one step further that if your violation is serious enough (or repeat violations), they perma ban your console from ever going online again. These are big deterrents and penalties that pc's cannot match to that degree.
Maybe, but console gamers aren't jerks who pirate every game like the PC gamers, i mean, look at the PS3, it has a custom firmware and the people who have jailbroken their PS3s are almost non-existent
This is not about gamers, but if hackers can unlock the hardware. The PS3 its difficult because of the firmware. If you unlock, goodbye online play. Xbox360 instead, you can unlock the console and even play online. You have the risk of being banned, but you can. I can say that because I live in Brazil, the piracy land.
If the consoles were easily hackable, and there were no ramifications to pirating games on it, then the rate of piracy would be higher for consoles. I really don't follow that scene anymore, but I did mod PS1, PS2, Xbox, Saturn, etc, and ran a very popular Direct Connect hub back in the day. I had more games on my hard drives to share than I can count, and leeches were plentiful. Back then, there really weren't any ramifications to piracy, except maybe legally if you were extremely unlucky, which was rare for anything to actually happen to anyone on the consumer level. Console gamers can be jerks as well. It's not about platform, it's about not wanting to spend money on games, and just getting everything for free. I know there are a few that may use it for demo purposes, but the vast majority are just leeches. It's why I quit providing those services, and tossed all my pirated software in the trash.
@rainslacker Consoles might be easily hacked, but still have some difficulties with installing games sometimes, thats what i've heard, on the other hand, PC games can be installed directly without having to worry about anything
Its great the devs are loving the PS4, but: PS fans' view of 360 - just PC parts put together, devs just porting over PC games PS fans' view of PS3 - powerful hardware that's future proof and devs just too lazy take advantage hardware
Its great your a troll and all but do us all a favour and stfu thanks.
i think out of Sony Santa Monica, Guerilla Games, and Naughty Dog's new ip for ps4, i think at least 1 of the 3 will be a RPG or MMO. E3 will be special
Sony is definitely hitting the jackpot with the PS4. Things keep getting better and better.
Positive after positive reactions and comments keep coming from developers for the PS4! This is good!!
