Pach-Attack! Why Pay Ahead Of Time?

Does Bungie have to be “ethical” when it comes to pre-orders of Destiny? (Culture, Destiny, Next-Gen, PS3, PS4)

I was hoping he would say something about MS, then I could happily believe the exact opposite of it.

He wasn't asked a rude question. Why be so rude with his answer?

Man's an ass stuffed with a weener.

MP freindly uncle act works on those not as intelligent as me or other superior pc gamers. He is clearly a stooge with the publishers interests in mind, not yours. That means promoting taking as much of your money as possible.

Wake up suckers.

Enjoy steams built-in DRM. Oh, and remember, pirate 90% of games. Enjoying the hax there?

Hey, PC gamers only use HAX because, being that they aren't twelve like the average console gamer, they were given time to mature, go to college and take computer courses. They then use their knowledge to make more of the games they are playing. Simple as that.
As for the pirating games thing, well, once you grow up and have responsibilities you too will have to learn to balance money. It can't be all candy, Pokemon cards and videogames forever. Some simply resort to pirating.

Really though, I find it amusing the back-and-forths on here. To be fair, piracy is no where near that bad. And, again, to be fair, if consoles weren't closed platform - something I don't view as a positive for console as a whole - then piracy would be just as bad, if not worse, considering the larger install base and lack of properly priced games over time. It's not like console gamers are just, morally, better people. Then you can get into the statistics that show those who pirate tend to be the biggest purchasers of media as a whole anyway.

I used to dislike Pachter but over time he's grown on me.

When he first came on the scene it was obvious he was a hack who didn't know what he was talking about and as such everything he said was totally off the wall and obviously inaccurate.

But these days he seems to be in somewhat touch in with the actual issues. I still can't believe he gets paid to do whatever he does but all the power to him I guess.

"in touch" "whatever he does"

Pachter is a analyst, so it's his job to analyze things. Naturally this means he would be in touch with "actual issues", since you got to get data from somewhere...

Or so you would think.

I normally really dislike Pachter, but I oddly agree with him this time. He's even got the Bioshock 2 vinyl album and an original copy of FF7 showing like I do.

I've been on this rant in the past. I don't have a problem with pre-order, but putting money down before the game is released is silly. I get pre-orders. In fact, I pre-order almost everything I buy, but I do it through Amazon where I don't pay a single cent until the game ships. Paying $5 at GameStop isn't really a big deal, but some people pay stuff off in full beforehand. Why? You're just giving them an interest free loan.
