My Criticism of The Legend of Zelda Series

mii-gamer writes:

The legend of Zelda is without a doubt, one of the most iconic gaming franchises in the history of the video game industry. With a decorated history expanding over 25 years, an honourable induction to Spike’s TV Hall of Fame and countless awards, it is very hard to argue against the series legendary status....... (The Legend of Zelda, Wii U)

Fair enough. And The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was and still is a master-stroke of pure genius...

And despite the aged visuals, it still holds all the magic.

Something tells me the next true Zelda on Wii U, will be at the very least... Gorgeous.

Very true points.

Thing is Aonuma has already stated that they are looking to do things different with this next game. I think he said something about not having to play alone.

Now weather that means co-op or not, it still remains to be seen. So let's wait and see what they pull when they reveal the game.

Tingle Turner is what he referring to.
The idea of having GBA connected to GC with Wind Waker having and extra bonus features that allows co-op.

With Wii U gamepad will take that methods forward while making Pro Controller the main controller.

Also Miiverse.

I HATED twilight princes
with a passion. One of the most boring and Nonsensical games I've ever played.

TP is one of my least favorite.

There are great moments. But since I could not put down SS (for more than a day in a 1/2) even when things annoyed me. I have to admit that there is something about the game that I don't like.

Slowly, through years I get closer to completing. One day I will. Technically there is much to be admired but it just does not have the same nagging appeal as most Zelda's do.

I think the answer to a EPIC Zelda is found in all of the Past titles.

The only thing I would add is a touch of the new hardware power for visuals special effects and AI routes.

The GamePad will add a lot to the game too- that's a given.

Zelda 1-
Feeling of exploration
No Boundaries (except skill)
Less use of Item/Weapons that are just glorified Keys.

Zelda 2-
RPG Elements.
Difficulty.
Over World Riddles.

LTtP-
???

OoT-
Great open world feel.
Groundbreaking Visuals.
Defining New Era Gameplay (maybe do something New with off Tablet Play).

MM-
The NPC Character routes were insane.
Level of Detail in towns.
Best use of the Night and Day system.

WW-
Very Unique locations.
Loved the combat system- even though I wish it were more rewarding (like RPG grinding).

TP-
I liked the crowded Castle town.
Hidden Techniques (Like Zelda 2)
Significant Cameos From Past Links (the Hero)

SS-
Great character Detail.
Love the Hub characters Updates.
More Detail to the Zelda Story.
Motion Controls *
Flying
Catching
The Weapon Upgrade System.
(*Yes, yes it should be an option next time. Lol.)

Just add all of this or most of this and I will be more than happy.
