Damn,
Is this generation of gamers that weak?
Can't handle a lil' bit of SNES difficulty?
Smh.

I remember playing donkey kong country as a child, and if you didn't pass the level, you persevered. That was your only way forward, you honed your skills.
And if you still couldn't, you asked your neighbor down the street to do it for you, lol.
Will hapilly pick this one up!

Easy mode?

So were the kids of the 80's and 90's just bred harder and tougher?

I remember as a kid beating games like Battletoads, Ikari Warriors, Mega Man 1-5, NES Bionic Commando and NES Strider.

Let me tell you those games were no joke and required nerves of absolute steel.

bionic commando
a + bub for you for beating that game. That was a tough game.

Same for ghosts and goblins, damn that one was a tough son of a bitch to beat. but i did it.

Easy mode in this is only 1 extra life though.

Only slightly easier.

Is it weird that I am really excited to get this game even though I've beaten it 3 times on the wii already?

But the games was already easy. You get 4 hits, but in the snes games, you only get 2 max....

Kids these days, with their save states, and checkpoints, and easy modes. Back when I was young we had passwords!

I am all for easy modes, hints in zelda, and boxes that help you skip levels in mario because the core difficulty stays the same. If you dont want to use the help then you dont have to. I have no problems with the casual audience wanting to have fun too

This game was MAD HARD.
Sadly the first Donkey Kong game I beat.
I had 64 and got to the end but that damn Donkey Kong arcade game prevented me from getting to the King K. Rool.

Also going to start the class Country 1-3 soon.
