Ken McKown writes: I am comfortable enough to openly admit that I enjoyed the previous two Army of Two games. They were dumb, bro-fist shooters that focused on cooperative play and terrible jokes. I was prepared for The Devil’s Cartel to be more of the same, with new characters and a new setting. Well, it certainly delivers on having both of those bullet points, but also removes everything that makes the series what it is. The latest entry feels like a step backwards in an already mediocre shooter experience.
